Smother.net review

England doesn't seem like the place for which death metal would emerge does it? Well Indigent is a solo death metal project whose roots are in Hampshire in jolly old England. Like most death metal, the album's recording quality leaves something to be desired. What I do like about the album though is the carefully employed atmospheric levels of sonic brevity. Shaking off his past mock grind band "Satanic Beer Cult" with its goofy lyrics for something just this side of more serious, Richard stands to intrigue death metal fans and I know that I'll be looking forward to the follow-up. Hopefully next time the levels will be a bit better and the mix less muddy-but hey at least the songs kick you in the guts with iron-steel boots.
